Advice from IAM RoadSmart
With icy temperatures expected to continue for several more days motorists are being urged to drive to the conditions, keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front and ensure their cars are fully roadworthy before starting a journey.
That's the advice from Neil Greig, director of policy and research at UK based IAM RoadSmart.
