Display will be created in the grounds of the facility later this year
Hospice Isle of Man is inviting the Manx community to remember their loved ones by dedicating a metal flower as part of its inaugural Memory Meadow event.
The display will be created in the grounds of the facility later this year.
The charity says the metal Forget-Me-Not flowers, which symbolise devotion, love, and respect, will serve as 'a heartfelt tribute to those we hold dear, providing a lasting memory and an opportunity to reflect'.
The Memory Meadow will be on display from Thursday 26 - Saturday 28 June.
Each flower can be personalised, and after the event, you will have the opportunity to take your flower home to display in a space that holds special meaning for you.
In addition to the flower, each dedication will include a Forget-Me-Not pin badge, which can be worn as a personal tribute wherever you go.
Head of Income Generation at Hospice Isle of Man, Vanessa Smith, said: "We chose the Forget-Me-Not flower because of its deep meaning—devotion, love, and remembrance. It’s a perfect symbol to honour our loved ones, whether or not, they were cared for by Hospice Isle of Man.
"Our Memory Meadow will be a beautiful space showcasing all the beautiful, dedicated flowers while celebrating loved ones, honouring memories and making a meaningful impact on the lives of those who need Hospice Support.
"We really can’t wait to see them all come together in June."
The Memory Meadow will be open for viewing and flower collections on the following dates:
- Thursday 26 June: 4pm – 8pm
- Saturday 28 June: 10am – 1pm
During these times, visitors are welcome to explore the beautiful Hospice gardens, enjoy light refreshments, and take their flower and pin badge home as a cherished keepsake.
If you are unable to collect your flower during the specified dates, you can opt to have your flower and pin badge posted to you for a small additional charge.
All money raised through the Memory Meadow will go towards supporting the work of everyone at Hospice, you can find more information and how to get involved HERE.
