DHSC has sold land to Braddan Parish Commissioners
The Department of Health and Social Care has sold land needed to create a dedicated access road to the Roundhouse Community Centre to Braddan Parish Commissioners.
The transaction was valued at £250 and enables full construction works can take place to build an access road directly from Ballaoates Road to the Roundhouse.
Work is expected to begin after the Manx Grand Prix, in the first week of September.
It's hoped the road will be complete and in use by December 2024.
The project has been the source of a long-running dispute between the two authorities after the DHSC issued a 28-day notice to restrict vehicle access to the community centre over safety concerns.
Braddan Commissioners requested to buy the land required in June, and agreements have been drawn up and signed since.
