DoI Minister in talks with Treasury to help train staff quicker
Introducing a virtual air traffic controller simulator at the airport would help train staff quicker.
That's according to the infrastructure minister who has told Manx Radio he's already had talks with Treasury about the benefits of having one at Ronaldsway.
However Chris Thomas says, if approved, getting one could take months as the machinery would need to be localised for the Isle of Man.
But he insists it would be worth the investment.
Mr Thomas has also addressed comments he made in the House of Keys last week about people needing to be educated to 'look after themselves' amid ongoing flight disruption:
