Children learning songs, stories, and folklore associated with Celtic New Year
Primary school children across the Island have been learning about the autumn traditions of Hop tu Naa and Yn Mheillea- the harvest season.
Workshops are being hosted by Chloë Woolley, Manx Music Development Officer at Culture Vannin, and Jo Callister an advisory teacher for the Manx curriculum at the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.
They focus on the history and traditions of this time of year - via the songs, stories, dances, and folklore linked to these special Manx customs.
And this year they have a giant carved turnip in tow!
