Follows recent 'upswing' in requests
The Speaker of the House of Keys is clamping down on the number of urgent questions being tabled.
Juan Watterson says it follows a recent ‘upswing’ in requests for immediate information.
This week he made a new ruling which fine-tunes the criteria which a question must fall into.
Mr Watterson says matters must relate to very recent or imminent events or developments:
Fast-tracked legislation was designed to close 'loophole of expanding problem'
Farmers 'feeling the squeeze' more than ever says MNFU
MLC given leave to introduce bill to tackle gazumping and gazundering
Media Isle of Man 'investigating' after 560 newspapers found dumped
