Busy summer period for Fire and Rescue Service
Firefighters in the Isle of Man have attended almost double the number of blazes in the countryside this year compared to that of 2017.
Figures from the Department of Home Affairs show the service was called out to 100 outside fires between April and August.
While last year across the same period, there were 57.
The minister's office highlighted the significant size and duration of wildfires attended this year, with some requiring resources from five of the seven fire stations.
