Gov't campaign targets tourism decline

£50,000-worth of new advertising

Government has announced a new three-year marketing campaign, in an attempt to rejuvenate the Island's tourist industry.

The Extraordinary Story has been launched this afternoon by the Department for Enterprise, a fortnight after figures showed a nearly 9% fall in visitors last year. 

Costing £50,000, a series of online, newspaper and digital advertisements will be targeted predominantly at older travelers, as well as young families and couples.
