Government publishes 'exit strategy' document

Medium-term Covid-19 response proposals to be debated in Tynwald tomorrow

The Isle of Man Government's 'exit strategy' outlining the next stages of its response to the coronavirus pandemic has been published.

The 27-page Stay Safe document includes the six-phase plan discussed in Tynwald last week, confirming the final step will be reopening the borders.

With construction, trades and horticulture having already resumed, the next phase indicates non-essential retail and services will return.

The Council of Ministers will continue to review the proposals regularly, taking into account the impact on the health system, social pressures and the economy.

The document is due to be debated by the Manx parliament tomorrow, with CoMin's next review taking place on Thursday.
