Tynwald members raise concerns about lifesaving facility
Government says it’s continuing to discuss the future of Douglas lifeboat station with the RNLI.
The charity says it remains ‘absolutely committed’ to providing the capital with a new vessel, and suitable facilities, and has launched a consultation and data review to assess options.
In Tynwald this week some politicians voiced their concerns about the possible loss of the station.
They follow concerns raised by members of the public - you can find out more HERE.
However Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall said no firm decisions have yet been made.

The RNLI says extensive assessment of available site options for Douglas have been considered since 2013 and it understands the frustrations of lifeboat crew working in Douglas.
