Ramsey MHK says it's an issue affecting other facilities as well not just Mayfield residents
Pensioners living in sheltered housing in Ramsey believe it's time 'someone takes a step forward and does something' to address the amount they are paying for gas.
In October Manx Radio reported that these residents, mostly aged above 70, are billed about £47 a week for gas, resulting in them paying close to £200 a month - even in the summer.
It's because Isle of Man Energy charges the Northern District Housing Committee, which is in charge of the Mayfield site, at a commercial rate instead of a residential rate.
Eric Corkish told Manx Radio while negotiations are taking place between the gas company and the board, some residents feel they are 'going around in a circle' and getting nowhere.
