Diocese apologises unreservedly
A former Island vicar has been jailed after being convicted of indecent assault charges.
Eighty-two year-old Graham Gregory of Brockfield Park Drive in York was vicar of St Ninian’s Church in Douglas from 1975 to 1990.
Today (Wednesday) he’s been sentenced to four years and four months in prison after being found guilty of three separate counts of assaulting children under the age of 13.
They date back to the mid 1970s and 1980s.
The Diocese of Sodor and Man has apologised unreservedly to the survivors of Graham Gregory's abuse and paid tribute to their bravery in coming forward.
It is urging anyone who has been affected by the news to contact the police public protection unit on 631499.
