Charity runs out of storage space
The Isle of Man Food Bank says it's been overwhelmed by a 'tsunami of support', at the end of a seasonal charity drive.
The Reverse Advent Calendar appeal has encouraged local people to collect one item of food or other essentials each day throughout December, for the charity to give to those in need over Christmas.
Donations began to pour in yesterday - at such a rate the Food Bank has needed to find more space to store it all.
Director Neal Mellon says it's been an unprecedented success:
CoMin making 'significant and determined efforts' to implement recommendations from Ranson review
Rain events 'difficult to forecast' on the Isle of Man
Planning permission granted for 26 industrial units
Port St Mary Commissioners urging residents not to 'struggle in silence'
