Flybe flights scrapped as airline goes into administration again

Airline pulled new winter flights to and from Island last year

Flybe has gone into administration for a second time with all flights to and from the United Kingdom cancelled.

The airline had been due to relaunch routes between the Isle of Man and London and Belfast last year but scrapped them at the last minute.

Today (28 January) the company – Flybe Limited - announced it has ceased trading and will not be rescheduling passenger journeys.

Anyone that had been scheduled to travel from UK airports has been advised not to travel to the airport unless they have arranged an alternative flight with another airline.

Flybe operated services from Belfast City, Birmingham and Heathrow to airports across the UK and to Amsterdam and Geneva.

In October 2022 the airline cancelled a new winter schedule to and from the Isle of Man blaming ‘further delays’ with deliveries of aircraft.

It had been due to start on 30 October but was pulled two days prior.

Customers who have booked flights with the airline are advised to visit the Civil Aviation Authority for more information.

Paul Smith the consumer director said: “It is always sad to see an airline enter administration and we know that Flybe's decision to stop trading will be distressing for all of its employees and customers.

“We urge passengers planning to fly with this airline not to go to the airport as all Flybe flights are cancelled.
