Questioned chief minister over fiscal responsibility
The former education minister has admitted government did a 'major U-turn' with regards to the Southern Swimming Pool.
Julie Edge asked the chief minister in Tynwald yesterday (16 April) what measures are in place to ensure fiscal responsibility and to reinstate financial discipline.
She told Manx Radio she wasn't involved in the decision to make money available to save the facility for a further year.
And she told our political correspondent Phil Gawne she wants to know where the funds came from:
Ms Edge previously denied that the Southern Swimming Pool announcement was a U-turn.
Plans for the Department of Education, Sport and Culture to stop funding the Southern Pool were leaked - and then scrapped - back in January.
