Economic pressures taking their toll on businesses

Issue highlighted recently by IoM CoC

UK Government figures show the number of businesses going bust in England and Wales exceeds the aftermath of the 2009 financial crisis.

The construction, retail and hospitality sectors are among the hardest hit.

Company insolvencies were up 10 percent, in July and September, compared to the same period last year.

Whilst the figures don't include the Isle of Man the pressures facing local businesses were highlighted recently by the Chamber of Commerce's Chief Executive Rebecca George:
