Douglas man to stand trial over domestic abuse allegation

42-year-old entered a not guilty plea to the offence

A Douglas man will stand trial after being accused of domestic abuse.

Craig Brereton, of Lakeside Road, allegedly picked the woman up by her t-shirt and threw her across a hallway into a banister which broke.

The 42-year-old entered a not guilty plea to the offence - which was allegedly committed between 1 and 4 July this year - during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.

Bail was granted until his next court appearance for a pre-trial review on 28 November.
