The chief minister insists government is not 'deliberately blocking' a licence variation application from a gas exploration company.

If approved Crogga would be allowed to drill for gas in Manx waters before completing a 3D seismic survey.

Last month the Department of Infrastructure said it was continuing to assess the application after a three-month extension was granted.

But Alfred Cannan told Manx Radio a decision will be made soon:
