High praise from The Royal Geographical Society
A Manx geography student has been recognised for achieving the highest A-Level exam result in the world.
Zachary Elliott, who went to Castle Rushen High School, was awarded a Royal Geographical Society Excellence Award (RGS) for attaining the mark last year (2019).
The RGS Awards are presented to students who gain top marks in GCSE and A-level geography exams.
Zachary, who is studying Geography at Oxford University, says he's "absolutely honoured" to receive the award, and has thanked Castle Rushen High School Geography department for their support.
Subject leader Emma Metcalfe has praised Zachary for his efforts saying "it's wonderful to see his hard work recognised."
