Manx Utilities' team worked to restore power
Manx Utilities crews have returned home this week after helping restore the electricity network in the Republic of Ireland - following destruction caused by storm Ophelia.
Around 10 per cent of the Electricity Supply Board's customer base were affected by the storm - leaving 385,000 people powerless.
Two overhead lines teams, and an engineer, were drafted in from the Island, just some of the 130 staff from across the British Isles summoned by the 'NEWSAC' mutual aid consortium.
Agencies across the British Isles are members of the group, ready to provide help in emergency situations.
