Covid measures 'have served prison well'

Two wings currently locked down due to outbreak

Measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 at the Isle of Man Prison have served the site well, despite 20 inmates being infected in the current outbreak.

That's from the governor of the Jurby facility, Leroy Bonnick.

Two wings are currently operating under the prison's black regime - it's the ninth time the site has had to be locked down since the start of the pandemic.

Mr Bonnick says there's been a positive take up of face coverings and hygiene measures by those at the prison:
