Members of two Island high schools isolating
Cases of Covid-19 have been identified at two Island high schools.
Ballakermeen, in Douglas, says a student there has tested positive, while Castle Rushen High School says 'a member of the school community' has also contracted the virus and told to self-isolate.
Contact tracing is underway in both cases.
Following advice from Public Health both schools are staying open to all students but interaction with other schools will be limited.
In almost identical letters written to parents, carers and students, the headteachers of Ballakermeen and Castle Rushen say regular updates will be given on the situation.
Parents will shortly receive a letter regarding identified COVID cases within CRHS, a copy of which can be viewed here. Our messaging system is down at the moment, but we will get this sent to parents as soon as we're able. pic.twitter.com/2rLMd0NQBb
