Couple taking on RNLI charity challenge

Already secured £83K to buy new lifeboat for lifesaving organisation

A fundraising couple are planning to visit the Isle of Man in a bid to visit every lifeboat station in the British Isles in the space of 37 days.

James and Belinda Richardson have already secured £83,000 to buy a new lifeboat for the RNLI which celebrates its 200th anniversary this year.

Their aim is to visit all 238 lifeboat stations based across the British Isles in a journey which will see them drive more than 8,500 miles, board 36 ferries and take four flights.

They're due to finish their journey in Peel later this month; the RNLI was founded on the Isle of Man by Sir William Hillary.
