Infrastructure Minister says commuter and freight options being considered as part of railways review
If railways are to be considered commuter transport on the Isle of Man, it could make sense to extend the Manx Electric Railway to the War Memorial.
Infrastructure Minister Chris Thomas confirmed that's one of a number of issues being considered as part of a review into the Island's heritage railways.
A report into the economic value of the railways is due to be submitted to the Council of Ministers by June.
Mr Thomas says a range of ideas are being explored:
'Pressure in the system' but bed figures are wrong says Manx Care
Work permits 'form part of longer-term plan' says Johnston
First Deemster and Clerk of Rolls appointed to senior roles
Mother's Day recognition for women who ‘shape our community’
