MHK raises concerns over waste disposal facility
Increases in the cost of disposing 'problematic' demolition and construction waste are being passed on to Island consumers.
Ayre and Michael MHK Tim Johnston raised concerns with the infrastructure minister in the House of Keys this week:
Tim Crookall's department has applied for permission to continue using Wright's Pit North until a new waste and landfill facility at Turkeyland Quarry is operational.
