Don't forget to recycle your tree
With Christmas now over for another year, Douglas Council says you can do your bit for the environment by recycling your tree.
The local authority is arranging to pick up natural trees from collection points throughout the capital on Saturday (January 9).
The trees will be chipped and then reused in Summerhill Glen and the corporation’s other parks and gardens.
You can drop yours off at Noble’s Park, Governor’s Hill, Willaston, Farmhill, Anagh Coar, Pulrose, Central Promenade, Lord Street Car Park or the Civic Amenity Site at the Middle River Industrial Estate.
