
Chief Minister Allan Bell says he won’t be taking advantage of a pay rise offered to civil servants.
Chairman of the Civil Service Commission Alf Cannan says a deal struck with unions will see government staff get a 20-pence an hour increase.
But despite MHKs’ pay being linked to civil service settlements, Mr Bell says he won’t be accepting it.
He says other members will have to listen to their consciences:
