Chair of Port Erin Commissioners hopes new people will come forward in April

Godfrey Egee people thinking of standing need to be a team player

The chair of Port Erin Commissioners says those wanting to join a board should not stand base their nomination on a single issue.

Godfrey Egee is stepping down at the Local Authority Elections in April this year and is hoping to see new people join the commissioners.

He also believes that the by-election held in the village three years ago shows promise for a good turnout come April - they had six candidates come forward and a turnout of 26 percent.

Mr Egee says people thinking of standing need to be 'community minded' and a team player.
