USA advises travellers to avoid the Isle of Man
Government says America's advice for people to "avoid travel to the Isle of Man" is unlikely to have "a material impact on the Island".
The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has put the Island on its red list.
The Level 4 CDC grading means there is a 'very high level' of Covid-19.
The Manx government says its main transport and economic links are with the UK, so doesn't expect the CDC update to have a material impact.
Government's statement in full:
"Whilst the CDC has issued an update, the advice appears unchanged. Advice on travel to the Isle of Man has mirrored the UK position and that of the rest of the British Isles for some months now. The Government would not expect this to have a material impact on the Island, noting that primary transport and economic links remain with the UK."
