Cancelled lessons for four year groups at CRHS next week

Due to ongoing 'significant' staff absences

Some lessons for four year groups at Castle Rushen High School next week have been cancelled.

In a letter to parents and carers, the school says this is due to ongoing 'significant' staff absences.

Lessons for those in years 10,11,12 and 13 are facing disruption as a result and students in those groups will be asked to stay at home at certain times.

Year 10 will be asked not to attend school all day on Tuesday, 7 December.

Meanwhile, Year 11 will have no lessons five and six on Thursday, 9 December.

Elsewhere, there will be no Year 12 sessions on Monday, 6 December; no lessons one to three on Wednesday (8 December) and no fifth and sixth lessons on Thursday (9 December).

And for Year 13 students - there will be no lessons one to three on Wednesday (8 December) or lessons five to six on Thursday (9 December).

The school says it plans to be teaching all year groups face-to-face again from next Friday (10 December) - this will be confirmed next week.

It also warns further sessions may have to be cancelled if absence levels rise.

CRHS is asking year 10 and 11 pupils not to attend on the days or lessons listed.

Year 12 and 13 students can attend for private study but must sign in and out of reception if they do so.
