Off-Island terminations focus of meeting
Campaigners for change in the Island's abortion laws say the movement is gathering pace - with another public meeting planned tonight (15 June).
The Campaign for Abortion Law Modernisation or CALM, was formed in the spring after the topic was raised at a Positive Action Group debate.
Since then, a committee has drawn-up a campaign plan and supporters have begun to lobby politicians.
The group's also made a Freedom of Information request to UK authorities, about the number of abortions carried out on women with Isle of Man postcodes .
The result will be outlined at tonight's CALM meeting, at the Manx Legion club in Douglas from 7.30-pm.
