Call for parents and carers to help give external reviewers 'more rounded picture'

The deadline to complete the questionnaire is tomorrow (23 January)

A charity on the Isle of Man wants to hear from parents, carers and family members about their experiences of Manx Care's Adult Learning Disabilities Services.

It's as the healthcare body has commissioned an external review of the service, which is being carried out by research company Cordis Bright.

The company works across the UK, specialising in social care.

Manx Mencap believes it's 'vital to get as many responses as possible' and have initiated their own questionnaire - which will be handed over to the consultancy firm.

Chanelle Sukhoo sat down with one of the charity's directors, Frances Tinkler, to find out more:

The deadline to complete the questionnaire is Thursday 23 January at 8pm.

You can find the survey HERE.

As part of Cordis Bright's work, it would like to meet families whose relatives are living in a community home or accessing other support on the Island.

Consultation events are to be held at Centre 21 (Greenfield Road, Douglas, IM2 6ED) on Monday 27 January, at 3-4pm and 6.30-7.30pm.

If you would like to attend, email Manx Mencap at mencap@manx.net.
