Bus driver recruitment continuing 'at pace'

More services 'at risk' today

Recruitment of bus drivers is continuing 'at pace' according to Isle of Man Transport, after months of disruption.

Staff sickness and shortages have seen hundreds of routes across the network delayed or cancelled since the start of September.

It's thought there are only vacancies on three percent of services now - more than 10 percent were affected when the disruption began.

A small number of bus services are 'at risk' of cancellation today (Friday 8 November).

At the moment, the below services could be affected:

  • Service 3 - 16:10 Lord Street to Ramsey
  • Service 3 - 17:10 Ramsey to Lord Street
  • Service 12A - 15:20 Lord Street to Port Erin (via Willaston and Onchan)
  • Service 2 - 16:51 Victoria Street to Ballachrink
  • Service 2 - 17:18 Ballachrink to Victoria Street
  • Service 11 - 17:14 Port Erin to Victoria Street
  • Service 12 - 19:29 Lord Street to Port Erin (via Willaston and Onchan)
  • Service 2A - 20:40 Lord Street to Port Erin (via Port St Mary)
