Community 'toolkit' to influence plans
Island residents interested in heritage and conservation are invited to a free expert talk this evening (Thursday).
A workshop at the Manx Museum entitled Understanding the Character of Your Area will be hosted by the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.
It's among a series of meetings around the north-west of Britain, designed to show communities how they can shape local plans.
The Institute has recently increased support for UK building professionals, in response to a decline in the number of building conservation officers.
Chair of the Institute Dr Kathryn Davies will host a workshop at the Manx Museum from 5.30pm, with a lecture at 7pm.
The events are free and open to anyone interested in the future of buildings in their area.
