Minister wins support for third Budget
Tynwald has approved the Budget for the next financial year.
Treasury Minister Alex Allinson won the backing of the court for his Pink Book which sets out how the Island’s money will be spent during 2025-2026.
Sixteen members of the House of Keys voted for the Budget with eight voting against.
The MHKs who voted against the Budget were:
- Tim Glover
- Lawrie Hooper
- Jason Moorhouse
- Julie Edge
- Joney Faragher
- Juan Watterson
- Chris Thomas
- John Wannenburgh
All eight members of the Legislative Council voted in favour of it.
The vote was taken just before 4.10pm.
