MP says Manx producer is 'utterly furious' with EU
Tory leadership hopeful Boris Johnson used a Manx kipper at the party's final hustings event last night, to blame Europe for increased postage costs.
Brandishing the plastic-sealed smoked herring above his head, Mr Johnson said Brexit would allow the UK 'to take back control and end damaging regulatory overkill'.

The BBC's political editor Laura Kuenssberg took to Twitter to point out that the Isle of Man is not in the EU, to which the Isle of Man Government replied #it'scomplicated.
Btw,...for those wondering about the kippers from the Isle of Man that Johnson was waving around.. the Isle of Man is not in the UK, and not in the EU... https://t.co/tI5pFVM0W0 - just in case you are wondering.....

Later, Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan tweeted, using the scenario to promote the Manx Kipper Industry as well as visits to the Isle of Man.
