Set at 357 pence in the pound for the next financial year
Braddan Commissioners has agreed to increase rates 'minimally', by six pence, for the next financial year.
The new figure, 357 pence in the pound, has been caused by an increase in HR fees, insurance, tree management, pay increases, public lighting and highway services.
Last year Braddan Commissioners had the largest percentage increase at 33 percent with rates set at 351 pence in the pound.
The local authority has also increased its domestic refuse charge for the next financial year, to £92, which is down to disposal charges at the Energy from Waste Plant, a new refuse contract and its contribution towards the Eastern Civic Amenity Site.
It says it 'remains committed' to the weekly waste collection and the fortnightly kerbside recycling collection.
Despite challenges the commissioners say they believe they have maintained their 'normal' high levels of general performance this year.
