Jason Moorhouse says people will have to travel to Douglas to do in person banking
Barclays confirmed it would close its Castletown branch in an email yesterday.
MHK for Arbory, Castletown and Malew Jason Moorhouse says the news was 'unexpected' for residents and local businesses.
The email states the decision came 'following an extensive review' of the amount of people who were using the branch and will officially close on 9 February next year.
Mr Moorhouse says he hopes the building can be used for something positive in the town:
