Sixth form asked to attend school as planned tomorrow to collect same grades
Students at Ballakermeen High School have been told to ‘delete and disregard’ their A-Level results which were sent to them today.
They’re being told to attend school as normal tomorrow - to collect the same grades - after they were sent in error, by email, a day early.
All A-Level exam results are embargoed until 8am on 17 August.
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture has confirmed that Level 3 exam results data – which includes A-Levels and BTEC gradings – was sent in error to the school’s sixth form students.
It’s told Manx Radio: “Under exam board regulations A-Level and other Level 3 exam results are sent to schools as exam centres on the 16 August for processing with an embargo for release to students until 8am on 17 August.
“The school has notified the relevant examination boards of this situation and is now following the procedures for this type of administrative error.
“Students have been asked to delete and disregard the contents of the email until the official release tomorrow.”
The school says additional advice and support will be available tomorrow if the teenagers require it.
