Assisted dying bill 'not being rushed through'

MHK believes colleagues should have all the information they need to make a decision

No-one is being rushed into a decision over the future of the Assisted Dying Bill, according to one of the MHK who called for an extra sitting of the House of Keys this month.

Members will meet again on 23 July to consider the third reading of the bill after eight members signed a letter to the Speaker requesting the additional date.

Opponents of the proposed legislation have claimed it's an attempt to rush through the next stage of the process.
