Ashford: We've listened to concerns of those in isolation

Manx Isolation Payment applications opening today

The treasury minister insists they've listened to the concerns of people having to isolate due to Covid-19.

A new Manx Isolation Payment of £300 is being made available to certain people whose work is being affected by having to quarantine.

It's for those not in receipt of income-based benefits and who are on less than half of their normal rate of pay.

It replaces the short-term incapacity benefit scheme and David Ashford thinks the new system will reach more in need:
