Due to wintry showers over night
There is an amber weather warning for ice across the Isle of Man today, following wintry showers over some parts of the Island overnight.
Subsequent freezing has resulted in some unusually slippery conditions.
Extreme caution is being advised at first this morning, with some untreated roads and pavements likely to be very icy and dangerous.
There are reports of ice all over the Island this morning, with the West coast and South affected badly.
As a result, police have announced the Peel coast road is currently closed, asking people to take care and consider if your journey is necessary, especially if traveling early.

The emergency services are also dealing with a crash at St Jude's, where a vehicle is on its side with a person trapped inside.
Police have confirmed the individual is conscious and talking to officers, but will require assistance from the fire service to be extracted.
The Kentraugh Loop is closed from the Shore Hotel in Gansey to Croit-E-Caley due to ice, while the Creg-ny-Baa Back Road is being assessed.
Due to the icy road conditions, Isle of Man Transport has announced that buses are unable to serve Willaston, Birch Hill and Ballachrink estates.
Passengers will need to make their way to the main road.
The Ronaldsway Met Office has put the warning in place until 3pm.
