Amazon contract won't disadvantage other local deliveries, says Post Office chairman

Stu Peters' was responding during Tynwald questions

The chair of the Post Office says he doesn't believe for one second that the acquisition of the contract for delivering Amazon parcels on Island will disadvantage ordinary mail deliveries.

Stu Peters' was responding during Tynwald questions this week (17 July) to suggestions that delivery times for local mail had become more erratic, since the Amazon deal took effect.

Mr Peters said it was fair to say that the Post Office is moving towards being a parcels delivery firm, but he had this message for people who have concerns over local mail deliveries.
