All are welcome on guided 'Warden's Walks'

Hospice at Home walkers to take on Eairy Beg in the 6th hike of 13 in the Wardens Walk programme

All are welcome to attend the latest in a series of walks raising money for Hospice Isle of Man's Care at Home nurses this weekend (Sunday 28 July).

'Warden's Walks' take place on the last Sunday of the month, with leaders guiding participants across distances ranging from four to 17 kilometres.

They cover a number of different locations, including Ballaglass, Stoney Mountain, the Sloc, and Glen Rushen.

Hospice At Home’s target is to raise £10,000 across the 13 walks, with it costing £15 to participate in a single walk and up to £150 to sign up for all 13 walks at once.

Back in 2017, the charity started its ‘Raad ny Foillan’ coastal walk challenge to support the palliative care nurses employed by Hospice.

Over the previous six years, the charity organised a further three successful Raad ny Foillan challenges.

Tomorrow's effort is a moderate 4-kilometre route around Eairy Beg, setting off from Glen Helen car park at 10am.

The full route with waypoints can be downloaded from the Isle of Man Government, DEFA, Wardens Walks website HERE.

Ron Spencer from the Diana Princess of Wales Hospice Care at Home Trust spoke to Christy Dehaven on One to Three this week.

You can catch up on that full conversation HERE.

He says even four-legged friends are invited along:
