
TravelWatch says it's legitimate trading, but not moral
The Island’s passenger watchdog has confirmed it IS legal for airlines to overbook flights.
However, TravelWatch admits it takes a dim view of the practice from a moral perspective and has written to British Airways expressing its unhappiness.
The comments follow the case of a Bride woman who was unable to board a plane at Ronaldsway yesterday (Wed), despite having a valid ticket, after BA sold more tickets than it had seats.
