98% of residents around Ballakermeen support traffic calming measures, says MHK

Ann Corlett to quiz infrastructure minister on long-awaited plans

Ninety-eight per cent of residents around Ballakermeen High School in Douglas would support traffic calming measures in the area.

That's from a Douglas Central MHK who'll ask the infrastructure minister for an update on plans to introduce speed restrictions around the school.

Ann Corlett has pushed for 20mph limits, in residential areas, for a number of years and says it's time the department took action:

She says the issue is that the school wasn't built to accommodate today's volumes of traffic:
