Will form smarter energy grid
Fifty thousand smart meters will be installed at homes and businesses on the Isle of Man over the next four years.
They’ll form part of a smarter energy grid which will allow Manx Utilities to be more precise about energy production and supply.
The rollout will begin in June.
Chairman Tim Baker says it’s the start of a ‘smarter living’ concept:
Commissioners planning to buy 30 'affordable homes' on new development
RNLI seeking water safety volunteers to help reduce Island incidents
