Barclay's Wealth and Investment Management has totted-up the money raised during the autumn visit by the Wasps Legends, supported by the company.
A gala dinner at the Palace Casino Hotel attended by 250 kicked off a weekend of friendly matches, youth training sessions and a determined fund-raising drive.
A total of £40,000 was raised for the RFU's chosen charity Wooden Spoon, which helps disadvantaged children..
Barclays Wealth volunteers raised more than half this total, acting as marshals and stewards and organising raffles and collections, a sum matched pound for pound by the bank.
According to organiser John Bateson, as well as cementing rugby ties between the Wasps and the Manx rugby community, a few balls were passed in business circles too. He said: "A lot of business cards were exchanged and contacts made and there will undoubtedly be some great business opportunities explored as a result".
