Internet provider Sure is preparing to launch the Isle of Man's first very high speed broadband service.
It will give download speeds of up to 40 megabits per second, two and a half times the current maximum of 16 megabits.
The new service will be available around the Island on October 1, but customers can sign up in advance from today (Thursday).
However, only people living within two kilometres of a Manx Telecom exchange will be able to receive the service, which is around 40 per cent of homes.
