Scheme places students on projects with Manx businesses
Applications are now open for the 2019 STEP programme.
The scheme sees university students in the second or penultimate year of their studies placed on an eight-week project with a local business, Government body or third sector organisation.
The programme aims to match companies with undergraduates for paid skill-based projects which will benefit the students' career prospects, and help Manx firms improve and complete projects.
Those chosen for the programme receive a tax and national insurance free training allowance of £240 per week.
Last year, 35 students took part in the initiative, working on a projects in a range of sectors including creative, manufacturing and quality assurance.
The closing date for applications is Friday 12th April. More information about the scheme is available from the STEP administration team on 682383 or by emailing stepscheme@gov.im
